But on the technical side, my 10 yr old son had an art project for school to produce a photo or series and consider composition theme, etc. I sent him into the backyard with some basic instruction on the meter and focus controls and a Contax digi with a good vario Sonnar on it. He returned with fifty or so images that largely worked very well, were very sharp (AF) well exposed and some good examples of this new fangled composition thing the art teacher had been explaining. Just scary some of his shots were remarkably similar to some of mine. So much for Daddy pursuing the cult of Leica and thinking that he is a reasonably competent photographer! On the other, if I turn up any Nazi era collectables, I'll let you know. I think there are about twenty times as many in circulation as were made at the time. He was probably too busy with the right side of his brain to do much with the left side. Or do I have that backwards? You might ask him if he made a special edition for Adolph. Love to come across a collectible such as that.$$ ;-) $$ G Hopkinson wrote: >Well when his shade turns up I'll be sure to quiz him for Leica knowledge. >It's true, I'm a fiend for the modern lenses and it seems a crime not to >shoot colour when it is warranted. Actually worked very well either extended conventionally or retracted and held against the body. The priority was to try and produce some WOW factor slides, being bright sun, pretty spectacular scenery, the lovely 28, high shutter speeds and Velvia 100F. The results certainly are very sharp indeed and hold up well even projected very large. Love that Leica glass.
