Yep...some truth, the price sure is "special". Hmmm...some people say 
that about a certian brand of cameras also...LOL...

Now I think the current vogue lights to have are ProPhoto.  Personally I 
think it is more about a persons skill with light than the system he/she 
uses.  As long as you know how to paint with light it does not matter 
what creates that light.  If I were not so used to and happy with my 
Paul Buff Inc lighting gear I'd look at Dynalites.  They are nice rugged 
little units.  I used to use Blackline speedotrons and Norman 2000s at 
the newspaper... I did not really like either of them.

One thing is certain though...those little bright colored alien bee 
units look better than those boring "pack" lights.  I have a green one I 
use at times when I need a small light  unit.
