I'm back. Did ya miss me?

I picked a good week to be away:

- Seattle weather was best described by Louis XV's "Apres moi, la
deluge."
- I could delete, in one quick operation, the dozens of political
messages that were left on our answering machine.
- I got to skip the initial Internet frenzy re. M8 Magenta Mania.

Anyway, we spent a week in southern Nevada, trying to soak up sunshine
while avoiding the Las Vegas Strip as much as possible. Much of our
time was spent hiking amidst colorful sandstone canyons and rock
formations.

Here's a sample, from the well-named Valley of Fire:

More to come!
