Jeffrey, I'm a Geoffrey too. Jeffery and Geoffrey have grasped G2's too.
Jeffery and Geoffrey manifestly miss manual on the G2's,
too. So, Jeffrey, Jeffery and Geoffrey say the G's are good too but miss M's
manual. Still Meffery and Meoffrey gets ghastly.

The G2 rangefinder is accurate...if you use it correctly. If you aim the
central focus area at something you would aim at if you were using a
rangefinder, it works. It doesn't work like an autofocus SLR or P&S. If you
are aiming at a person's face, you might want to give the camera a break and
put the central spot on his/her eyeglasses, or (if you are not wide open) at
the silhouette of their ear.

But I would have preferred the G2 if it were manual focus. Those Kyocera
people were too innovative for their own good.

Jeff, yes it is not a rangefinder. I don't know if that could be done with a
zooming finder. I never had any problem using the single central focus area,
locking the focus and recomposing. However, I know that others have
commented that it wasn't accurate. I sold mine off to help pay for an M.

Except the G2 isn't a rangefinder, it's a point-n-pray. Not useful. Can't
trust 'em.
