I'm using the Sandisk Extreme III 2GB card.  For some reason that one 
is not on the Leica compatible SD memory card list.  The Extreme III 
1GB is and the Ultra II 2GB is.  The only 4GB cards on the list are 
ones that I've never heard of Hama and Extrememory.
I timed the wake-up time, too, and it's not as long as I thought.  I 
guess I'm just too impatient ;-)  You can take a photo almost 
immediately.  It does take a couple of seconds before you can access 
the Set and Menu buttons, though.
