But last week I played with Michiel's Bronica MF rangefinder at a meeting of a camera club we both belong to, and I fell in love with it. I have owned a MF rangefinder before, the Fuji "Texas Leica", but got tired of it eventually--too big, too plasticky, lens too slow (5.6) and not interchangeable. The Bronica RF is lovely--smaller than the Fuji, solid like a Leica M, a choice of 3 lenses, and a viewfinder and rangefinder that is much better than I remember the Fuji to be. The lenses are not that fast--f4--but at least faster than the Fuji and the focal length of the most common lens is more usable too (equivalent to roughly 35mm). The thought of doing street photography with a rangefinder but getting a 6x4.5 negative is very appealing indeed.
