Subject: [Leica] IMG: Warning...No Midtones!!

Mark, very observant...it was D-19 with a pH off
the scale, and you're right, they do start to look like
hell (the more generations-the worse they get) many
tiny little jars of red opaque and camel hair brushes for
the pinholes!!  ;-)

Or high alkalinity carbonate film contrast developer like D11 or D19. Or a
paper developer.
And printed on Agfa Brovira #6 in Straight Dektol. No chasers.
Shaken but not stirred.
