With the M8 shot, the flag looks like the only thing that is pretty sharp - the face certainly isn't. Yesterday photographing a Hanukkah celebration, I used both the 5D and the M8. The 5D had the 85/1.2 lens, I set it at 800 ISO and used automatic focus. The M8 had the 75/1.4, I set it at 160 ISO and minus 2 exposure and manual focus. They were both converted in SilkyPix using automatic white balance and exposure compensation. What is going on with the candle flames in the Leica photo? Is it just a difference in depth of field? Did I miss the focus slightly? http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/m85d I would love to get to the point where I could carry just the M8 but I'm definitely not there yet!
