Bonsoir,

  Here's what you get if you acquire an M5;

  1- Speeds visible in the finder
  2- Lens open/close indicator in the finder
  3- Continuous analog metering scale, much more informative than the on/off 
led
  4- Mereting area visible in the finder
  5- Large speed dial
  6- Ratcheted rewind lever (the only M with this feature)
  7- Hot shoe and both X and M flash synch
  8- Battery test lever
  9- Easy to remove spool
  10- Typical Leitz (as opposed to Leica) craftsmanship

  It's a no brainer from a user's point of view.
