I didn't try it on my M6. I should have, I guess.

I just read through the discussion of this lens on the leica-camera forum, 
and the consensus seems to be that sometimes it jams and sometimes it 
doesn't. I guess it depends on manufacturing tolerances or camera wear or 
phase of the moon. My guess is that if it hadn't been a borrowed lens I 
would eventually have decided that I could force it when I needed to focus 
to infinity.
