B.D. i did have the exact combo with MIS CFS system. the prints were
great deep rich blacks with the ebony ink on matte paper. the
maintenance of the printer and clogging was all another story. so i
sold it after a while

i now use a epson 4800 for larger B W prints and for 8x10 i use a
epson c84 with mis cfs black ezy system that has been working
flawlessly for about three years

you might also check out quadtonerip, i use it with epson 2200 @ work
with original epson inks with great BW results
