This is the LUG. Prolonging discussions is what we do.

I turned on the room lights and added a 100W flood to make sure there was 
plenty of light for focusing. Then I focused the camera, turned off the 
lights, lit the candles, waited 5 minutes (I wanted heat to build up) and 
then took the first round of pictures. I then blew out the candles, turned 
on the room lights, and took the second round of pictures.
