Adam,
I believe that you are retired now so please use this as a need to fix
Social Security so that you and your lovely wife can afford to eat. :) :)
:)  Otherwise a good portrait although I am with Bob that reducing the
background would be useful.  My alternative would be to bring up the
midtones in your wifes face and burn down the background a whole lot.
