Get the new Tri-E.... If you want to keep it, fine, if not, there will be a 
really good lineup for buying it....

The 50 ASPH is another good one, but there are a a fair number of them 
around, so the resale price will not be as good....

Remember that in the US, the International Warranty is accepted, but not 
nearly as good as the US Passport Warranty.... And in the
US, if the lens is used ( or even bought by someone else), the warranty is 
not transferrable....and they WILL keep track of that
serial number....  So your purchaser is getting a lens with effectively no 
warranty.... 


Bottom line.... Buy a lens that will have great demand and a new design so 
there are not a lot of them out there........if you
intend to sell it....
