LeMonde refers to a "posthumous book" [sic] HBC would have prepared 
himself. Prints included. But states that he disliked lab work.
I would be inclined to think it is true, for Pierre Assouline is one of 
the best French journalists, and works for well informed and respected 
Le Monde.
