As do many reading this, I belong to more than I Leica-centric forum.
Five, by my last count.

I have yet to see a post with photos and actual narrative from the
owner of a Digilux 3.

The Matsushita/Pana/Leica Lumix version abounds in Best Buy, CompUSA,
Circuit City and other big box stores for between $ 1,800 and $ 2,400
US. More towards the $ 2,400 dollar price in "real" camera stores.

Is it because a 3-year Warranty, better firmware and the Red Dot are
not enough? Is it because the Olympus 4/3 body comes with 2 lenses in
kit for around half of the Lumix?

I wonder.

I've seen Lecia-produced images from the Digilux 3. Lovely.

But so are those posted by owners of the Lumix, and the Olympus with
Leica adaptor and an R Vario 70-180 APO, etc.

Any thoughts on this? Perhaps a very shy Digilux 3 owner who could
grace us with their input?

It's been 3 months or so since the product hit the stores. What's
going on with the Digilux 3?

Bob in Seattle.
