Don,

We also keep three bird feeders, stocked with sunflower seed, in the back
yard. We have had visits from an imature hawk of some sort. A few days ago
he was perched in the top of a large oak across the street, looking for a
meal. The usual flock of finches, cardinals, doves on the ground and even
the squirrels vacate the premises when the hawk is around.
