Yep.  And the 54MZ -4 can't be beat.  I use mine on my CLE and amazed at the 
images I get.  They rival the Nikon iTTL shots, if not surpassing them. 
Sitting on the Metz flash bracket, it's still smaller than a D2H / D2X and a 
standard AFS lens.  Easily the best film flash shots I've taken - including 
with my Nikon F5 and SB28 / SB800.

If it'll do that on your M8, you'll have a winner indeed.

Just out of curiosity- because I'm NOT in the market for an M8 - what type 
of metering does the M8 use?  Averaged, spot like my M5, a type of matrix, 
or something else?
