It is an art in itself to use the 35mm full frame perfectly. But  
sometimes this fixed ratio just doesn't work out perfectly with the  
photographed subject.
So I see no harm in cropping. After all, if 1 fixed ratio would be  
standard, every single painting would be in this ratio, too. Which is  
not the case. Luckily and with a reason.
