Subject: [Leica] OT - Sigma DP1 - 14 or 4.7 MP?

The Foveon sensor is 3 x 4.7 MP, so the way I see it,  it records 3 
colour layers with a sum total of 14 MP, processes them and outputs a 
4.7 MP file.
Or have I got this wrong? The 14MP tag seems to be just marketing hype 
to me.
