Yes, I wasn't going to mention that term. Anecdotally I've been assured by 
someone trustworthy who has consumed it in both locations
that the UK brew does not taste like the Australian version.
Interesting social comment that it should be so regarded and named in UK. I 
wonder what that means?

Stella is known as "wife beater" round here, I have even heard it  
ordered over the bar as such. It has a reputation for making people  
violent! It is reassuringly expensive though.
