There was a case here in Los Angeles involving an attachment. A young
man, Sherman Austin, had an informational site, allegedly an
anarchist site, Raisethefist. Someone had attached a link to his
site. The justice department tried to shut down the site and got
nowhere. After the Patriot Act was past they revisited the case
later. He was found guilty of whatever they were charging him with,
because of the link placed on his site. He spent a year in federal
prison in San Diego for that. His probation forbade him to access a
computer for 3 years.
