In the early 60s in Glencoe ILL north shore Chicago we had Cardinals and
blue jays both in my backyard with a big willow tree. Regular run of the
mill birds didn't cut it.
The blue jays were mean but the Cardinals were meaner. None of the other
birds had a chance. Boy they had attitude!

I'm not sure they're in that neighborhood any more. Silent Spring may have
got them.
