[Leica] Results of April 2007 LUG photo contest

Congratulations to the front runners and to all who participated.

While teaching 2D design I required my students to rank the class  
work and give reasoned critiques for their ranking. Without a doubt  
these rankings and critiques provided most educational activity in  
the class room, second only to producing the work itself.

I think letting the winners become the following month's judges has  
great merit.

Thus far, have we had just one set of judges?

I also support the idea of hearing comments from the judges; however  
brief. On the few occasions that I have been honored with some sort  
of award - this was quite helpful. i.e. a student film, "An  
introduction to the beginning" won an honorable mention at the Ann  
Arbor Film Festival, "for its visual poetry."
