Speaking of Solms Leica response to a simple enquiry. Over a month ago I 
wrote a USPO letter to Solms NJ asking them whether I could buy the original 
rubber lens shade and filter holder for my 40mm F2 Summicron, which is 
standard for the CL. No reply. None.
 
If this cavalier attitude toward their customers is company policy, I see a 
bleak future for Leica Solms. Maybe they're only interested in $5K camera 
sales. That's not the way Leitz built the company back in the last century.
