Dear Graham

Thanks for explaining.  Very clever technique.  You might like a picture I
took on my little D-LUX2 of rippling seawater over coloured pebbles  on a
beach in the Scottish Highlands.  I noticed that the bright sun was focussed
into transient stripes that moved.  I took quite a few but chose this one as
the best.

Hi Matthew,

It is running water. I straddled a stream and photographed it looking
straight down. The flow of the water is from the bottom of 
the frame to the top and I showed it that way for the 'face' in the water.
