The Tree Swallows are back after being absent for a couple of weeks.
The path I take through the Nature Preserve has bird houses every 100
yards or so. They are empty in the Winter and early Spring. Not so now.

This little bird was guarding her house.

I find the Tree Sparrow is not shy. This one let me get to within 8
feet or so. This is a full frame photo, no cropping. With a 100mm lens.

After the bird flew off, I was circled by 3 or 4 birds who flew very
close to me. On flew to within 3 feet. Obviously protecting the nest.
I didn't hang around.

I hope you enjoy them.
