Peter, RAID 1 would require two 1TB drives mirroring. "RAID 0" would be
two 500GB drives pretending to be 1TB. This cleverly doubles the
chances for a catastrophic failure over having a 1TB (or two 500GB)
drive(s). It might be capable of serving as 1TB "RAID0", 500GB RAID1,
or even as two non-RAID 500GB drives, in which case it would be a nice
thing to have. Leave "RAID0" to the "gamers"; it's useless for anyone
else.
