I have the Hong Kong version 1.25 magnifier which I used with my  
135mm, and it worked fine. Screws into the VF without a problem  
(short thread though and risk of damaging glasses since it's all metal).
It's perfectly sharp in the center, and a bit less at the borders,  
also depending of your eye position vs the eyefinder. For ther few  
times that I used it, I had no quality problems with it.
