had a Minolta 101 so that's what the photo was made with - have no 

idea about lens or settings ;-)  My copy of the book had a torn cover 

but I just found a used copy in good condition on Amazon.  So here it is:

My how time flies when you are having fun!!  This does make me feel 

ancient!  :'(

Hi Tina,

Both photographs are so heart warming and without question the visual
"timeline of the past and today" without being told .

 

What is interesting is the sale of one photograph put you on the way to
becoming a full time professional photojournalist as was my case. One
picture, 17 September 1951 my first news picture was published in the Ottawa
Citizen newspaper with a credit line for the princely sum of $3.00, that's
three dollars. :-) 

 

It was seeing "Photo by Ted Grant" under the photo that unleashed me to an
incredible career and life with absolutely no looking back regrets.

 

Your swing pictures can become an ongoing series of your family as the
modern children mature eventually have their children and so on and on as
each new parenting children grow-up. Actually you've created a legacy so to
speak. And hopefully it will become as I explained generation to generation.
They have a great template to work with. :-)

Now would I do that to a fine upstanding southern lady as yourself. ;-)
Besides we have a meeting in October and I don't want to be greeted with a
smack on the head instead of a hug!:-)
