Subject: [Leica] SLD ? R9.99 ? Link is OK now

If you use the R system, then they are a good investment. You can always
shoot film, or if lucky find a DMR at a really good price. I notice you
also state Demo lenses. Most demo lenses are sold at a substantial price
reduction, even here, if you can find them. I bought my R8 as a demo and
saved I would say about 45% over new (bought during the transition from the
R8 to R9 period). I'm sure it was a refurbished body, but came with the
Leica Demo warranty card and full new package.
