Subject: [Leica] Summarit update

I note from the most recent LFI and also the Leica User Forum that the new
lenses are getting closer.

VERY interesting to read that Leica has one Kornelius Mueller to head up
their "commercialisation" area, whatever that does.
Marketing I think. That name sounds awfully familiar from Zeiss!

The range brochure including the MTF graphs is now downloadable. It also
shows the optional lenshoods for the new designs.

The MTF figures look impressive, especially for the 75. Unsurprising that
Leica has done well there, with the more modest apertures.
Still yummy figures if you are a Leica gearhead.

The article confirms the cessation of the Elmar M 2.8 50 and the 2.8 90. It
also notes that the WATE (16-18-21) has increased in
price a LOT but hints about forthcoming new wides. We shall see.
