Alastair, perhaps it was the BBQ kettle and assorted condiments in your 
vehicle or those fleeces you were wearing.

Yeah, they did not like us being there at all: milk production was down!!! 
The thing which blows me away is that this image was
taken at 1600 ASA on a 4/3 Olympus E510: I too started with a Minolta SRT 
101 with the f1.4 50 and would never have dreamed of
taking this shot in that light. Digital is just too easy. In my day
