The chances of UV radiation making it all the way through the glass 
lens, through the glass mirror to the silvered backing, through the 
glass of the mirror again and halfway through the glass lens again 
are slight. But it can't hurt...  Also, if you hold the lens a foot 
away from the (front surfaced) mirror, twice as much UV radiation 
should be coming at the lens.
