Hi Philippe,

Sorry, I thought it was common knowledge. I have probably been here longer 
than I thought :-)

In Photoshop:

<Filter>
<sharpen>
<unsharp mask>

set :
amount to 15%
radius to 65 pixels
threshold 3 levels

I believe that when BD posted the tweak he suggested it was a way to emulate 
a Tri X look. I have used it on every b&w image 
since.
