Agreed. Those of us who live in the US may want to visit our local  
CompUSA to snag those external drives - the company announced they  
are closing for good after the holidays and that they will be blowing  
stuff out prior to that to reduce inventory.

Stick with name brands, of course...

Also LaCie has just announced new fanless hard drives in black. They  
are inexpensive and look nice, but I wonder if fanless is a good idea.
