The successful expression of such bullshit is an art in itself--a  
variation on the storytelling tradition;^)

And, who is to say the photos did not express the theme well when  
perceived as their purported theme by a given viewer? After all, how  
much of the symbolism we were taught in literature classes was  
consciously included by great authors? Does that unconscious  
expression take away from the value of the fiction?
