Not at all.
I enjoy this lively discussion a great deal.
It has provided me with a number of wonderful links to work I've not  
seen before;
as well as returning me to work I've seen before but have not visited  
recently.

In specific periods our cultures have moved forward due to artists in  
various fields (art, literature, music and etc) coming together, in  
one place, and exchanging ideas. Paris in the twenties and thirties,  
New York in the forties, fifties and sixties, etc. This internet  
thing has very real potential for similar synergy.
