Philippe,

The farm building scene appears as though you missed the cropping of the
foreground.

I'd make this into a narrow horizontal by cropping the bright grass area off
completely up to but not including the long branch into the scene from the
tree on the left, as we view the scene.

In other words get rid of the bright foreground as your eye goes there
instead of to the main subject.

I suppose you could come up from the bottom and crop all the bright grass
off completely. And you'll be very close to what I'm explaining.

I realize others will disagree, however I've come back to this photograph a
dozen times or more since you posted, taken a piece of cropping card and
held it to the screen and each time, the grass goes! And the picture works
far better.

Your choice mon ami.

ted

Thanks Ric,

I guess I'm getting used to the 4/3 ratio. So when I shoot horizontal

and wide, I get more of the foreground or sky than in 35mm, and tend to

then forget to trim down to 2/3 I guess.

But fortunately worthy LUG members are on the watch to help me remember

the basics :-)

Thanks again

phx
