I use a Nikon D40X with a 18-200 Nikkor stuck permanently on as my carry
everywhere travel outfit, and it is within its parameters an excellent lens.
Its lightweight, has AFS and VR, and a range that is truly useful, and image
quality is very good. So try the Panleica, it might be pretty good.
