They are coming out with newer, lighter, better ones all the 
time.  This one looks nice and fits in a small suitcase:

If you don't need to worry about packing it, the Mountaineer would be great.

I like the smallest Gitzo ball head.  If you don't need to worry 
about supporting huge lenses, the smaller the head, the better.
