Thanks for looking, Luis and Len. I did warn viewers that these are family
photos!
I have found that the 50 is a superb short portrait lens on the M8. Working
at my usual contact distance there is an automatic tighter crop now! If I
win the LOTTO, one of the 75's would be nice.
The viewfinder frame lines are very conservative so maybe I am compensating
just right there. These are virtually the full frame anyway. My son has
reached the 'don't photograph me age' but my daughter is happy anyway. This
is all just grab stuff. I think I do better, the faster and more casual I
work. The one of my mum owes more to Photoshop than Solms, but the light was
pleasing.

I think since he is using the M8 his portraits are now tighter. More  
intimate. Plus as the kids grow older they stay still longer.
