Point taken Ted.  BUT Steve was asking for an explanation.  To put it
another way, divide the actual focal length by 3 and add it on.  So 15
becomes 15 plus 5 = 20, 21mm plus 7 equals 28...etc.

Not as simple as chimping, but not that scary IMHO.
