You're right.  I can't keep all of this equipment stuff straight.  I 
can use the external finder with the 12mm Voigtlander that I have but 
everything is in focus with that thing - if I have enough light!  As 
a rule, I don't use finders, though.  I'm sure if I had to frame 
something exactly, I'd be very frustrated with the M8.  A lot of 
people over on the Leica M8 Forum complain about the inaccuracy of 
the framelines.  It doesn't bother me at all.  I'm always guessing anyway ;-)
