Hi Douglas,

Thanks for this virtual and nice visit to this wonderful city, very good

Hello all,
had to take a trip up to Bremen on Sunday, my missus was being interviewed
by Nordwest Radio.
Lovely weather and Bremen was looking its best.
These are straight out of lightroom, some cropped a little and minimum
tweaks - for the technically minded Canon 20D + Tokina f4 12-24mm

'Im Schnoor' the oldest part of town, down by the River Weser (yes that's
the one - deep and wide - but Hamelin will be another trip) Hochzeitshaus -
it's a cafe http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/_MG_7504.jpg.html

Roland is a sign of commercial honesty and trust in the Hanseatic League

The 'Bremer Stadtmusikanten' - folk story figures who met up with each other
on the way to Bremen to earn their keep as musicians, on the way they scared
a band of robbers out of a house and liked it so much that they stayed. In
spite of their name, they never actually got to Bremen excapt as the statue
- it's supposed to bring luck if you rub the Donkey's nose or hoof.

The Rathaus and another church (St Martin -I think)

B?ttcherstrasse - Bremen has always been famous for artists and craftsmen
(Worpswede is not far away - Modersohn-Becker and co.) this is an art deco
street, still full of art deco shops and galleries.

Bremen was still rich at the time Germany still had a 'Kaiser' - this is
representative of typical Bremen bank architecture, and a rather nice
transition between old and modern architecture.

'Stadtm?hle' (City Mill)

If you held out until here, thanks for taking the time to take a look.
When I get around to it, I'll do some more serious editing on some of them
Best from Hannover Douglas
