Subject: [Leica] $1,609,000 for a Edward Weston Print
From: tedgrant at shaw.ca (Ted Grant)

Good morning guys,

Death & Taxes seems like about the most exhilarating subject to wake up to
when yer getting toward the end of the pipeline as it is! :-)

But then I refuse to go as there's too many things to photograph yet.

And so far I've outlived many of the stupid political and bureaucrat figures
in the country who've come up with these grave robbing tax laws and only
solidifies my resolve not to go! I'm having too much fun playing "elderly
photographer!" :-)

For a person dying during 2006, 2007, or 2008, the "applicable exclusion

amount" is $2,000,000, so if the sum of the taxable estate plus the

"adjusted taxable gifts" made during lifetime equals $2,000,000 or less,

there is no federal estate tax to pay.
