Steve,

You're good. I think you'll find that even at f1.0 your photos will  
look much better then they ever did because now they're in focus and  
not soft the way you thought they should be. The only lenses I had a  
problem with was the longer focal lengths which I didn't use very  
much. After I aligned for the Noctilux I was so happy I ended using  
it most of the time. I even used it for landscapes. It's performance  
at the smaller apertures is extremely good.
