Subject: [Leica] Canadian LUGgers: shipping to Solms

Yes, Can Post won't permit you to insure over $1K.

I've been using FEDEX a lot for mega-expensive items (one Nikkor 50/1.1 to
China, another to Germany). The cost is expensive, but it is the only way
to go for "greater than $1K value".

As far as I understand, any insurance claim is going to be painful.

What courier did Howard Cummer use for his M8 horror story? I anticipate
everyone will have their own horror story for each courier.

Fortunately, none of my courier shipments got lost.
