Now the 17-35 did have vignetting even on film, I used mine on a F100 and 
F5.

I've used at least 10 lenses on my D3 and I'm just not seeing vignetting. I 
actually add it in! Crazy. But then allot of my clients are probably crazy 
too, all the swamp heat.

And speaking of landscapes, I've shot some jobs for a landscaping company. 
They love the darkened corners.
