Subject: [Leica] OT: New Nikon D700 full frame

Canon needed to come out with new Primes as their old primes were for the f
mount. I have primes up the yin yang all over the place I've used since the
70's I still use on my D200.. Some I bought recently for a song.
Easily pro quality.

That said I think "who uses primes" I've the only one I've ever seen.
I bet its a full one tenth of one percent of the market.

The DSLR'S are not small; a zoom lens unless its a bigger one does not throw
it off. If the cameras not small finding a compact prime for it seems like
less a smart deal; might as well use a zoom and not have to take it off in a
sand storm.
